Winter is coming! How I prepare for Winter | Seasonal Switch | Storage Solution | Storage Bags

Winter is coming! The temperatures are dropping, so it’s time for the big seasonal switch! Out go our summer blankets, and in come the cozy, warm ones - plus my favorite woolly, Lord-of-the-Rings blanket layered on top (because I’m always freezing!). I’ve also swapped our summer jackets for winter coats and sneakers for my beloved Uggs. This is honestly my favorite time of year! Shoe Shelf Declutter 👟👠

This shoe shelf declutter and reorganization was way overdue. Before rearranging any furniture (because I always get the urge to move things around), I had to tackle my shoes first. I mean, why do I have so many heels when I never wear them?! It was finally time to declutter and donate a bunch.

I probably got the urge to declutter and rearrange my entire wardrobe because my son had chickenpox, and we were stuck at home for over two weeks, including his birthday week. It feels so good to have everything organized again! Next, I’ll need to declutter the rest of my wardrobe. 💁‍♀️

DIY Duplo Table

DIY Duplo Table: Today, I’m going to show you how we made a Duplo table for our 2-year-old. We took an old IKEA coffee table and used double-sided tape to stick on two Duplo base plates. Then we attached two Trofast bins with Trofast rails to the bottom of the coffee table, again using double-sided tape. We added two Mammut stools, and the activity table was done. Our son loves it, and ever since we DIYed it, he’s been playing with it every day with tons of excitement.

My IKEA Pantry

I’ve always struggled with kitchen organization since I don’t really have a proper pantry. Nothing I tried ever felt quite right—until now! I decided to repurpose an old IKEA shelf and turn it into my very own pantry. Since it’s open shelving, I knew it had to be both functional and aesthetically pleasing to really work for me. And I’m so happy with how it turned out!

I’m also trying not to buy as much and work with what I already have, so this was a great start. I managed to add a pantry to my kitchen without spending any extra money! What I love most is how versatile IKEA pieces are. Almost every item I’ve gotten from IKEA can be used in any room for so many purposes. This shelf was no exception, and now it’s the perfect solution for my kitchen storage! Loving my new IKEA pantry so far!

Laptop & iPad Charging and Storage Solution

I was so tired of having iPads and laptops lying around everywhere and constantly searching for charging cables. So, I decided to create my own solution!

I ordered a simple laptop/iPad wall mount and some cable holder clips. Since I didn’t have any power outlets where I needed them, I used strong double-sided sticky tape to mount a power strip right where it was convenient. Above that, I taped the wall mount, and next to it, the cable clips.

Now, everything has its place! Laptops and iPads have their own home where they can be easily charged - no more searching for cables. I absolutely love it!

LocknLock Storage Containers: My Baking Season Must-Haves

Showing off my new LocknLock storage containers that I got from my soon-to-be mother-in-law! They’re not only super practical but also incredibly pretty. And with baking season just around the corner, it’s the perfect time to transfer and organize flour and sugar. So far, I’ve used two containers each for granulated sugar and powdered sugar, but these new ones are the perfect size - everything fits into just one container! Super easy, super practical, and they look amazing too!

PS: I may have spilled quite a bit of powdered sugar and some flour in the process!

My desk reset is complete. Everything is decluttered, sorted, and stored away. Everything has a place - at least until my toddler comes to explore. Then, everything will be scattered, and it’ll be time for another desk reset.

These are 6 of my must-have products that I use in my fridge: the iDesign egg organizer, the herb storage container (keeps the herbs fresh), the hourglass pickle/olive jar (separates juice from pickles/olives), the can organizer, the rectangular IKEA fridge lazy Susan turntable (for easy access), and clear, stackable organizer boxes.
